I remember reading about an A-Class that never happened about 10 years ago. Well, I guess it's here now.

Cool alternative to A3 and 1 Series. I'd like to see one in person, not sure about the back.
Do not want!
too many cars from benz and al the german automakers
Kinda dig the interior.
The A class has been around for a while, just not in North America. Doubt we'll get this one either.Originally posted by Hakkola

There will be an A25 AMG. 350hp AWD 7 Speed DSG. Targeting the RS3.

kinda reminds me of the mazda 3 hatchbacks... definitely do not want.
A is for anas!
Not really feeling this, maybe an AMG package will help.
Don't forget that this is a $20k car.

The front end needs to be toned down as it's too large and prominent for such a small car. It's a same that Americans hate hatches and small cars as I could see that car selling pretty well in Canada to all the baller wannabes and a German alternative to the A3.

If the AMG A25 came to North America I'd buy it, would be a fun little everyday car I think. This thing is leaps and bounds nicer than it's predecessor.

It's not targetting the sub $20k cars. It's targetting the Audi A3. The base A class is already selling in Europe at $20k.
Like the A3, the North American versions will have much bigger motors, and priced higher.

I don't think there's anything like the B-Series; closest is probably Mazda 5 which still isn't Luxury class.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
I thought the B-series and the A3 were already direct competitors?
The B series has what feels like twice the room as the A3. Definately not same class. I haven't really found anything like the B. The rear seating is so roomy. Only Maybachs and R classes have more rear legroom in the Mercedes lineup.
The B isn't "luxurious". Just because it has a Mercedes symbol on the front doesn't automatically make it more luxurious than other cars in its segment. It's a comfy car, with good creature comforts, and a solid feel. There's no leather, just a vinyl interior that kinds feels like leather a little bit.
The A class would be the same.
