Default Changing LAN IP address (Telus Optik)

Hey guys, trying to tell someone how to change their LAN IP but for the life of me can't remember what screen it's on. Doing this over the phone so it's not as easy as just looking myself haha..

I was hoping someone here that has Telus Optik internet (Dlink router) could log in to their and tell me the steps to get to the right setting.

[Trying to go from 192.168.1.xxx to 192.168.35.xxx]

    Thanks!

I don't have the dlink anymore, but i know that on the actiontech that they push out now, it is not possible unless you are running hacked or original actiontech firmware.

I run the dlink at home and did it successfully on mine. I just cant for the life of me remember how.

I think when you log in it shows you the router IP, and clicking on that will bring you to a screen to change the subnet as you see fit. Guess I'll have to do some trial and error over the phone.

You won't be able to go from 192.168.1.xxx to 192.168.135.xxx

If the router is setup as a DHCP system then you'll just have to change the DHCP IP assignment from 168.xxx to 135.xxx

I got an Actiontec from Telus about 6 months ago, and after some googling was able to find the (hidden) page to change the DHCP assignment range from 192.168.1.xxx to 192.168.0.xxx

Not sure about the D-Link...if I knew what the menu looks like, I could probably tell you where to look.

I'm gonna get them to send me a remote request and see if I can access their router that way. I did it on mine very easily, just can't remember the menus.

Does anyone know the root password for the 31.30L.55 FW version?

I need to change the subnet or I can't VPN into work as it clashes.

I never got a chance to flash the full actiontec firmware, just now learned about it.

Thanks but that's just the regular login. There is a root login that has access to change more settings, as well as flash custom firmware to the router.
