Default LF: 1 Full time Server, 1 Part Time Server

We are looking for two servers to join our staff at the bistro. We are looking for one person who will work between 40-45 hours/week, and one who will work 8-12 hours/week.

Pay is minimum wage + gratuities. Depending on assumed responsibilities there is room for additional hourly pay.

The full time server will be required to work a mix of shifts, though 3pm - close Wednesday-Saturday are typical. Brunch shifts (10:30 - 4, Saturday and Sunday) are also part of the mix, though not quite as regularly.

The part time server will be required to work brunch (10:30 - 4, Saturday/Sunday) as well an additional shift or two per week as needed.

    Typical duties will include:

    + Acting as host/hostess
+ Taking reservations/speaking with clients on the phone
+ Working as a bartender from time to time (restaurant, not bar... much less busy)
+ Serving tables for brunch, lunch, and dinner
+ Working private events and functions

    Requirements:

    + Reliable transportation to/from work.
+ Must have ProServe or able to get ProServe right away.
+ No visible tattoos that cannot be covered up
+ Business-casual dress code in effect.

Strong preference given to those with two or more years experience in the service industry. Note that we are a small restaurant with a total staff of under 30 people. You will be reporting under five people: myself, the front house manager, the back house manager, Suzanne, and her partner.

It is a relaxed environment, but as we are small, when things get busy it is important that we work collectively as a team to ensure that service is not affected. If you are not a team player this will not be a good fit for you.

Please send all resumes to cmartel AT handsfreemedia DOT com.

You say preference will be given to those with prior experience in the service industry...

... well, I served in the military for three years, does that count?

I'd totally work at that place, if it's the restaurant I think it is. I've done serving, it's fun and tips are great, dealing with people is better, just not the job for me.

I'll pass this on to friends

    How classy of a place?

    Super casual? Or sorta-uber classy?

... i've stepped down from the industry, but would consider pt hours if its the former.

Proserve is the easiest thing to get. Took me about an hour.
