Pull the damaged panel out (move another good panel from above into place), replace it with a window?

Ok, so older than god steelcraft... I could order a new section - but it wouldn't match (color and embossing have changed slightly) or I get a width off ya and keep my eyes peeled for one...

Or I heard that home despots sale on singles runs till the 30th...

    Hi Andy,

Yes that would be easy to do, just replace the whole opener, but I suspect the new ones wouldn't last as long as my present Allomatic which has been running for 25 years.
    Thanks

No, I'm not gonna argue there, the old openers are pretty bomb proof and serviceable for life (only about a dozen parts that you can't still get at a decent hardware store)...

Interwebs might be your best source, 365LM is what you seek...

Just wanted to bump this up

My garage door springs snapped on me on saturday and i was looking around on beyond for a repair guy. I came across this thread and there was alot of good reviews on AndyL work. He was able to troubleshoot the problem over the phone and came by the next day with the correct part. The repair was quick (less than an hour) and everything works perfectly again.

    Thanks again Andy

Have you tried the blow dryer/canned air method?
