Repaint or replace bumper

Hey Guys,
need your expert advice / opinion.
I have an 05 TSX that needs a new paint job on the bumper. It was repainted 3 or 4 years ago to fix a scratch and after a several road trips the bumper pain is severely chipped.


I'm looking for a low cost alternative to repainting ($1000). It's pricey as I have a lip kit installed on the bumper that would need to be repainted as well. I might be able to buy an oem bumper in the same colour as my car for pretty cheap (around $250) if the colour matches, should I do that? Are there any risks involved? Is it unlikely the oem bumper will match the rest of my car?

I was told by a mechanic that i should just do a visual comparison of it in daylight and make sure the mounts and clips are undamaged. is that all i need to do?

And where are you finding OEM bumpers in good condition for $250?

I think it's that expensive because I have a lip kit on that needs to be repainted as well. I've edited the original post.
