where can i go to set up my telescope?

Hey guys, i was wondering if any beyonders know a good place to set up your telescope, away from the city lights?

is there a field that is popular outside of city limits that is ideal for star/planet watching?

What type of scope do you have, and what do you want to see?

For example, planet observing isn't significantly impacted by light pollution, but can be with higher amounts of "particle" pollution.

Also, most deep space objects aren't very impressive from a dark or light polluted sky if you have a cheap/small aperture scope.
