it took me a while to stop laughing at the above posts to type this.

I was thinking I was going to let it melt also, but then I looked outside again. NW is getting a pretty big dump of snow.

2 stage will definitely pay off tomorrow. I'd clear it now but it hasn't even stopped yet and it'll be too loud soon.

^^ same here. the deeper and heavier the snow the better it works. I usually just dump it to the side untill it's deep, then blow it across the street in one pass...

My little Toro 418 (87 cc, single stage) is BLASTING the snow from my driveway, over the lawn and onto the neighbors driveway. Probably tossing it at least 25 feet.

As mentioned, the more snow, the further it goes.

It's days like this when having a snowblower is worth it. I couldn't imagine shoveling this heavy stuff.

The wet snow doesn't get stuck in the blowers?

nope. snow so heavy and sticky you can't shovel it, comes out the shoot like a stream of water. You can tell the motor is working, but nothing sticks in the blower.

I've been doing the neighbors driveway as well. Trying to burn all the gas out of the tank so I can store it for the summer.

Today is the reason I bought my blower.

I remember this type of snow last April and vowed to get a blower.
