^ word, on cold mornings I always accelerate like mad, and hit the brakes hard (when I first start riding) to warm up the tires. Once their warm, its all good. With gravel, I slow down enough in the situation to handle it. Even with Gravel, if your tires start to slip, if their warm enough, when they grab again its good to go. I've had a few close calls, but nothing anybody with even a few months experience cant handle. No biggie really. Just keep your head up and always be aware of your surroundings.
