Default LF: Appliance Repair - Recommendations

Looking to have my Fridgidaire Fridge and Stove repaired

    Already replaced the dishwasher.

Anyone have any recommendations on places to contact for the work? I looked in the yellow pages, tons of places. But i'd rather someone with some good feedback than just picking someone random in the phone book.

Alternative, if someone here can do it, i'd rather pay the beyond member.

    Lmk please.

    Thanks.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

    Used Atlas Appliances.

Quick and good service. The repairman was knowledgable and tried to save us money.
Its not only about money. Its about freedom, friends and family too.

    Fix it yourself?

There are good internet forums for troubleshooting and repairing appliances. I like appliantology.org. I fixed my dishwasher twice (different problems) using their resources.

Unfortuantley I'm not confident in fixing this sort of thing myself, so that is not an option.

Totem Appliance is who we use for parts & service in Calgary, so you can always give them a try if need be.

What's wrong with the fridge & stove?

    Just out of curiousity.

I had Island Appliance work on my fridigaire stove with those worrendous wavetouch control. Dean showed up, and spent hours troubleshooting instead of throwing up his hands and just replacing the part, like most guys would. I'm glad he was so dedicated, as that part is listed at $900. Dean mentioned that he had received special training on electorlux appliances.

I am very happy with Island Appliance.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

My fridge, it has the built in ice maker and water dispenser. Everytime i fill up my glass, it leaves just as much water under the fridge and then starts to run out onto the floor. So my hardwood is hooped around the fridge as i didn't notice till now.

The stove, it has one of those ceramic/glass tops so no physical coil burners. 1st thing is my wife the dumb broad that she is, scratched the fuck outta the top, so i need that replaced. The 2nd is the burners on the left side, none of them work...just all of a suddent stopped. i checked the fuses and they're good too.

    Bumping an old thread.

    Dishwasher crapped out last night.

Going to call Atlas first than Island later today.

    Any other recommendations for places?
