GTR cause its almost as fast and almost half the price. And a Nissan
If you wanted you could take the 60k difference and turn it into a AMS GTR
I've always been a GT-R fan, so I'd probably take that.
Hah that AMS GT-R is such a beast.Originally posted by Redlined_8000

GTR is an amazing machine but there is no way I would choose it over a 911 Turbo S....are you guys crazy?

with your logic, you should go buy a Civic SI, turn it into a Full Race Civic SI, all for <50k.Originally posted by Redlined_8000

We are talking about 2 cars here. GTR and the Porsche. GTR is 60k cheaper....... And pretty much just as "good" as the Porsche in terms of performance.
To be honest its all about what your a fan of and whatever that is is what you will enjoy more! I enjoy the fact Il have 60k more in the bank and have a GTR. If you enjoy spending 60k more but having the Porsche, then more power to you.
you guys have been playing too much gran turismoOriginally posted by arian_ma

Porsche.
No Doubt.
Shit Give me a GT3 RS 4.0 K thanks, bye.

GTR
I would pick any 911, even a base one over GTR.
There is much more than power and grip.
if money is not a factor, i choose porsche
value for money, GTR for sure

Hard choice for me, I will take the GTR and buy a premo used 911 with the spread for my winter beater.
The GTR's all hurt my back, even in the new comfort mode in the 2013. I havent driven a new PDK 911 but I've been in lots of 996 and 997's to know the ride is much smoother and bearable.
I could never push either car to its limits so the porsche wins for a really nice luxury interior and a much better drive (if its even close to a 997)
GTR will turn a lot more heads in the end, but damnit they are jouncy and the drivetrain is really loud thanks to wide gear clearances.
Really? You think so?Originally posted by AE92_TreunoSC

The car has a lot of really impressive performance stats, but looks are definitely not one of it's strong suits IMO. (Even a common 370Z looks nicer, and it costs a third of the price.)
If the GTR turns heads, it's probably car geeks or fanboys who appreciate the car for what it represents, not your everyday average person going "wow, what a beautiful car".
GTR FANBOY
I use to think that too, as I thought it would be low key for what it can do. But it gets a ton of attention, even from people who don't know cars. I get a lot of people asking what it is, cell pictures etc.Originally posted by Inzane

My 911 Turbo friends say I should buy a 997TT if I want to be under the radar and I am starting to agree.

My money, I'd take the GTR. If they were the same price or much closer it would be the porsche.
Need to drive one, i know a guy that needs to see how his two cars stack up...

Reasons why Drumheller area wouldn't make a good race track venue...
