It wasn't a huge fail but we could use a little more planning for the next cruise.

One thing to have is a better lay of the cruise from start to finish. It would be easy to do it on google maps and post it here.

Rule of thumb for big cruises is avoiding busier streets with a lot of lights. If we can't avoid those streets maybe some check points just in case the group breaks up during the cruise.
Pulling over on the side of the road is not ideal due to safety. We want to avoid any chance of an accident with normal traffic.

One more thing,
Find 2 or 3 people that know the route well and position one as lead, one for the middle of the pack (only if we have a 3rd) and one at the tail end. They should also exchange cell phone numbers to keep in contact if the group gets broken up.

Like it did a couple years back when they roadblocked stoney trail and gave out 30 something tickets for street racing to everyone, even people not in the cruise just stuck in the roadblock.

Were people speeding? Even if they do stop a cruise it is hard to give a ticket for street racing if nobody is speeding. Maybe tickets for tinted windows. If everyone was speeding than too bad.

If it makes u feel better..I got left behind too coming back from Old Banff Coach...way too big of a heat score for me But good fun, hopefully the next one is a little less "intense" so that all can cruise

And fyi the cruise that had 30+ cars that got ticket on stoney trail i was alos part of that cruise indirectly. the actions of only 1 individual caused 18 people to recieve tickets.. The individual that is to blame is DJ sures.. He drives a black turbo audi with 500hp.. DJ Sures is his real name..
he got away clean free for commiting a racing violation...
