Missed it! I will for sure head in next time. I went down with a couple buds to take pictures but the wife is insisting I take her back now, tea time it is!

I'd pick up an X100 again if the AF has been improved, it's a sweet camera.

I though the D800 was just going to be my landscape and studio camera, but I'm finding it very usable for everything.

what 50mm were you using? the 1.8 or do you have a 1.4
that shot is one of the reasons why I think I'll be getting a Mark II for now instead of the III

For some reason all my shots are overexposed from that day.. EV was @ 0 not sure what's going on could be the nikkor 70-300

Or, more likely, it could be because you're metering off a BLACK bear.

Yeah what go4long said. If you used evaluative metering, compensate by ~-0.7 ev or try shadow metering when you have a dark subject. 0 ev in evaluative metering makes the average of the whole scene look like bright day light. With a large dark area like black bear the rest of the scene needs to be extra bright to balance out the average.

I took out my my old 20/1.7 yesterday and I find I get the most keepers out of this lens, and its not even close. The "Leica" 25/1.4 just doesn't seem as sharp and I like the 40mm perspective way better. Panasonic really needs to make a MKII of this lens with faster af.
