    Default How much should I be paying for springs?

    Looking for H&R super sports for my C230. Im getting quotes ranging from $200-$400.

    Anyone buy super sports? Whatd you pay?


    Also, any recommendations on a good shop for install?

    As for the install, it's pretty idiot proof. Take it wherever is cheapest.

    Bought some H&R reds for my car. New.
    They were $250 no MB tax on it.

    Any shop can do these. If I had some time, I'd even do it for ya. Basically, rent a spring compressor form Auto Value (some cars don't need compressors, it depends).
    Then you compress the spring then take the pillowmount nut off and take off the stock springs, then install the new ones by compressing them, then getting them on and then doing the gland nut up.

    if i can offer my .02$ i would recommend not buying springs. they maybe fine for the first few thousand kms but changing the springs without putting in a/m struts will cause your oem struts to fail sooner. if your going to do springs id recommend a/m struts too. or if it was me i would spend the extra bit and get a coilover system. very well worth it.
