Straight from Google, so it's straight up "naked" android. No Samsung Touchwiz or HTC Sense. Also, the carriers can't sell them locked, even if they're subsidized. Usually the first ones to get updates as well.

Does anyone have a link to some sort of list of bloatware that is safe to remove without causing other issues? (ie: FC on start-up, etc.)

anyone else starting to experience crashing and freezing issues? Sometimes when I am browsing the internet or playing a game the phone would just freeze and crash taking me to the lock screen. Also sometimes it would say that visual voicemail has crashed.

you can easily root the updated firmware using the same procedure as before.

I quickly skimmed through the 17 pages and didn't see any info, but does anyone know a way to sync itunes playlists on your s3 without rooting it? I've been googling for a while now and can't find a solution.

I tried Easy phone sync, but apparently you can't download that because we're in Canada. Also tried double twist but it says you need UMS usb mode. All the sites I've found says that the phone needs to be rooted to turn it to UMS mode. I'm brand new to android so I don't really want to start messing around with rooting quite yet.

I tried double twist but it says I need to activate UMS for usb transfer but I can't use UMS unless I root my phone. It wouldn't recognize my phone. Were you able to do it without using UMS USB transfer?

the fido booth in southcentre mall sells micro sim to full sim adapters for $1. sometimes the are out of stock, but i got mine there.

Were you able to get playlists to sync too? When I synced it with the phone, the songs transferred but the playlists are empty when I open them on the phone.

I use doubletwist. You need to download the app, and then pay $5 for the wireless option.

have you tried kies? it's slow as hell, but i think when i first got it it asked if i wanted to import all my itunes music

Yea I've had no problems transferring the music, but I was hoping to be able to import my playlists as well, instead of remaking them all. Tried Kies, but it only lets you import songs.

After playing around with winamp some more, I was finally able to get the playlists to import too. Thanks!

Which email client do you guys use? Most of the highly recommended ones are around 20 bucks. Hoping there's a slightly cheaper one. I'm using K-9 currently, but there search feature doesn't search through your archives. It only searches through the messages that are downloaded on your phone.

Touchdown is the best app. It is well worth the $20. Gotta pay to play guys
I use it on my sgs2 and nexus 7 though, there are seperate tablet and phone apps. Works very well for everything.

No, TouchDown will not work with any type of accounts that are not hosted on a Microsoft Exchange server (or a compatible ActiveSync Server).

I would just use the apps for those two, especially gmail....on android....
