Yes you'll need a micro sim if you don't have one in your current phone.
Can I just go to a telus location and buy one and have them program it for me? Do they need the phone cause I was hoping to do this right after work and I won't get the phone until I get home.
Just go pick one up from FS or Telus. Once you get home and have the phone you can just call Telus to activate it on your current account.Originally posted by dj_patm

You should be able to walk into telus, and buy one and have it programmed.Originally posted by dj_patm

I know for Bell, they have 4 different sims:
Normal SIM (HSPA+ phones)
Micro SIM (iPhone 4/4s)
LTE SIM (Galaxy S2 and other LTE phones)
LTE Micro Sim (Galaxy S3/iPad 3 LTE)
So I needed specifically an LTE Micro Sim.
I believe this should work for you:

I find "S-voice" useless. It can barely understand anything I say. If there's ANY background noise then forget it.
Anyone else?

I can hold it right up to my face and speak clearly as possible and it doesn't get most of it right. If I do it say, in a busy room or in a car then it gets nothing at all from the background noise. I can talk to the others guys iphones no problem? I'm not even ESL!!!Originally posted by LilDrunkenSmurf

Seems not that great. Doesn't hold a candle to the new Google search in Jelly Bean. They will likely keep improving it.Originally posted by JRSC00LUDE

All I can picture is JRS talking to the phone like Chris Tucker to Jackie Chan in that Rush Hour movie.

That explains it.
All S-Voice does (similar to Siri) is record what you're saying, send it back to Samsung for decoding/processing, then sent back to the phone as instructions. More than likely it's either
a) not ending properly, adding too much noise onto the end
7) way too much background noise is not filtering out
other) not getting the data throughput to process (unlikely)
Try pressing the button to end it as soon as you're done the command.

Has anyone here tried the quad core variant (i9300) of the S3. Im curious to know if the occasionally lag / choppiness in the interface is because of the dual core processor, or if it's just android in general? Does the lag also occur with the quad core version?
Sure did... cuz apparently its hard to find for some ppl.....

How do you guys find the motion features?
Any worth turning on?
Anyone unlocked theirs yet? I have mine rooted with custom ROM but missing the last piece of the puzzle.
Pretty shit for me. But I'm a "power" user. Unplug by 6am, use it for music/reddit on bus ride into work, tether to laptop or iPad @ work. ~20% left by 1pm, plug it in, almost 100% by 5pm, music/reddit on way home, now at 84%, with minimal use throughout the night.Originally posted by K3RMiTdot

I couldn't bring myself to turn on the panning/zooming ones. I do like the "bring to face during texting to call" feature, but the "pan to move screens" and such weren't interesting to even try. I have yet to figure out how to pop out videos while using other apps.Originally posted by dj_patm

You shouldn't be prompted for an unlock code unless you pop in a SIM from a different carrier.. Since I don't have any non-bell micro sims to test out, I haven't bothered. I'm also too chicken shit to root the phone, as it's my first android phone. (I have jailbroken iPhone's before, but not my own)Originally posted by TYMSMNY

I've never had an Android phone and thinking about ditching my BB for this. I have 10 seperate email accounts setup on my BB and I am using thiese constantly throughout the day. I usually kill my battery by 4pm. Anyways is push email available on an Android phone without using GMail. Everything I've find online seems to say GMail is needed.
I'm probably gonna pick one of these up before the iPhone 5 drops, is there an ETA for the 64gb model ?
I have 3 push/exchange emails accounts setup (I would have a 4th, but it tries to push out security rules to my phone):
Gmail
Hotmail
Shaw
