    Default Hamptons Houses

What do you guys feel about houses in Hamptons. I like it that their lots are bigger and houses are further apart. However, you can get a better and newer house in say Aspen Woods or Evanston for the same or less money. Just wanted to see what others thing here, thanks.

Nah, the chinese owned houses in the Hamptons are all empty (minimal furniture) and the yards are usually not maintained. I looked at a lot of them.

I've lived in the hamptons for about 22 years now, I enjoy the neighbourhood a lot! Personally I haven't seen much shady shit go down until recently when I got new next door neighbors, son is a nickel n dime drug dealer but the daughter is soo hott

I've been trying to facebook creep her, but their address is not listed in the phone book

Chances are your neighbor will be Chinese or Indian.

Some may think the area is overpriced. I think it's underpriced.

Out of all the neighborhoods in the NW, it's the only one that doesn't have any houses under $500K (other than the 2 townhouse complexes). So chances you will have kids/teens/punks in the neighborhood is lessen.

It is also the only neighborhood with consistent 40' or larger lots. New hood which tends to have narrower lots and builds upward, giving out more of a claustrophobic feel.

Since it's build around a golf course, there are plenty of green space and pathway connecting the neighborhood. Houses are very unified in looks and sizes.

I have tried looking elsewhere, but I rather renovate my home to update it instead of moving out. IMO, to get a house similar to spec of ones in Hamptons, you probably have to pay over $1M elsewhere. Most Hamptons homes are in the $600-$700K range. With newer ones and bigger ones going for $800K+.

Are there grow ops and gangsters. Fuck ya.

They are adding a 3rd lane this summer (or next few years).

But yeah that sucks, many times I turn around and used 14th instead.

That's the reason I am thinking about Hamptons. Other prime NW areas like Citadel, you do get newer houses for less money than Hamptons. However, the lots are way narrower and not as good. It's a trade off for sure but I just don't like narrrowly packed lots.

    It needs an overpass.

It is just the city being cheap... like the majority of the residents in the hamptons... hahahahaha
