Default HELP !!! problem out of nowhere

    Car: 1UZ V8 s13 Silvia with z32 gearbox

So i drove my car up to edmonton last night but on the way there and on the way back it gave me some wtf problems. I daily drove my car for 2 months on this setup prior and had no issues as the longest time i had driven it without stopping was to banf at about 3500 rpm in 5th for 120km distance.

So as i reach olds my car suddenly loosese power and feels like my fuel pump just stopped working but at the same time it wouldnt completely die. would reach 800rpm and then i could rev/drive it to 3000 rpm exactly and it wouldnt go past that. felt like my maf stopped working. while i was still rolling in neautral doin 110 or so i turned the ignition off and then on, let of the clutch and it started to work fine again. did it 4 times to edmonton as i was at 4500 rpm and 2 times on the way back when i was at 3500ish.

Only does it when driving for a long period of time at high rpm.

Drifitng non stop for 5 mins at 6500 rpm doesnt effect it either

    Alternator?

    Fuel pump?

    Maf?

Check your fuel filter and your fuel sending unit sock. They may be gummed up and slowly compressing themselves resulting in a restriction of fuel flow as you drive over time to a point where the engine isnt receiving enough fuel.

The ecu is putting you into fail safe mode. On older stuff one of the only things that will put the ecu into limp is when it looses the maf input. Hook your multimeter up to the the maf out put and watch the voltage as you heat the sensor with a heat gun.
But first things first, check your codes.

I just looked in to it, the 1uz has a karman-vortex maf. Your in for a good ride unless you have the proper tooling. A mulitimeter isnt going to cut it on this one.
