    Default Hachi; A Dogs Tale

Anyone seen this? I'd never even heard of it until my wife's sister was telling me about it tonight.
If you love dogs, looks like you might want to have a box of kleenex around! lol.
About an Akita's loyalty to his master. (Although the movie uses a Shina Ibu and Akita Inu in it)

Based on a true story: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hachi:_A_Dog%27s_Tale

Supposedly it's a true story. There is a bronze statue of Hachiko right outside the very busy Shibuya Station in Tokyo.

The body of Hachiko is also in the museum.

If you want another tear jerker doggie story, here it is.

Never seen that but Antartica is a very good film even though its all subtitles, the dialouge is minimal as its about the dogs themselves,

Yes, saw the statue. The original was made with donations from the Japanese people, and then melted down during the war for the metal. Can't remember what year it was re-made by the government. Got a kick-ass soccer shirt from the Adidas store in Tokyo with Hachiko on it.
