    Default My '97 Civic DX

So I bought this civic in May 2011 after mine was stolen. This is how it looked when I picked it up.

It came on some motegis, with cut springs, a carbon hood and an edm rear bumper. Also a shitty fitting Ctr lookalike rear lip and a fake oem fake spoon fake everything front lip. And some s2k side markers that were put in uneven. -_-

So first thing I did when I got it was chuck the motegis and pick up a set of wheels off a a friend of mine. Also picked up some tein super streets so i could at least be slammed on ricer wheels. Still didn't help the looks I got.

Sportmaxx 002's. 15x8 w/ 0 offset. Need less to say they fit like garbage. So I was stuck with this until I picked up some camber kits.

I then picked up a bunch of stuff from a friend that was parting a car out. Gsr seats, sir cluster, type r headlights, type r grill, 99-2000 spec taillights, work lugs, and a couple other things.

Then picked up and had paint matched a rep sir front lip. Around same time got my fenders rolled so I could go nice and low. Even with the camber it still rubbed like nobody's business. Also when I bought the wheels they had a 195/50 on em and shortly after I got some 195/45's. Muuuuch better

Then put on an hks silent high power cat back with a 4-2-1 header.
And this is how it sat after that. Kinda sucked in alleys...

So I drove around like this for the rest of the summer.

Couple shots of me coming home from Edmonton

(note the previous owner has the front bumper resprayed and didn't even prep it. Smh)

So through winter I didn't do much. It was parked far away and outside to boot.

Did manage to pick up a couple things. Spoon front lip, ctr rear lip, duckbill and some other junk.

Oh yeah and I picked these up from a buddy of mine!

So they sat in my basement on countless things of protection till summer.

Before I put them on I got some new rubbers. Didn't like the 205/45 stretch so much so I picked up some 195/45/R16's.

Definitely a lot more satisfied with this stretch.

Also picked up a Mugen mid pipe and a spoon n1. Mmmmm

And then summer showed its face. And I showed the civic it's new shoes! You might be familiar with them.

16x8.5" +15 offset CCW Race Version Classics.

Rolled around like this for a bit and then built up and the nerve and decided to max the coils. Well the rears.

Then I got pretty tired of the carbon hood. Very tired actually _so I traded my buddy my hood for his oem Honda! Ahhhh yes

Only problem was the hood is off a '96 so it has rust... So I did what any smart person would do.

I slapped a hood bra on that bitch!

Pretty much it for what I've done so far. Been lazy and have to paint the two lips and duckbill lol

And getting the exhaust put on tomorrow so pretty stoked!

So car went into the exhaust shop a couple says ago. And I found out why my car sounded the way it did lol....

The header had 4 holes in it from scraping all last year and the piping past the axle at the muffler had a hole in it.

After tons and tons of cutting, welding, fitting and all that good stuff it was on!

So excuse my ignorance, but you're going to ruin the next exhaust? Yes?

Probably not, from lurking his car at beyond meets before his exhaust went UNDER his LCA when it should go OVER. The header though...unless he skid plates will get ruined again.

Darkane - No, the original problem was how my other exhaust fit. As eglove said it sat under my lca which gave me all the problems. This one goes over the lca and is fit tight against the body to avoid any scraping. And as far as the header was concerned I was running an aftermarket that I think just sat low. I put an oem one one to avoid any issues again.

I really like the new wheels.

Came time for paint. Bumper and lip came off and it was time to prep the bumper for repaint and toss out the lip.

After bumper was taken of want to the nearest car wash to spray off the paint. Thanks to the previous owner for not prepping it lol.
