What? You caught up to the minivan that you were side by side with at the intersection? These cars are slow.

If people keep totalling them through city corners like the OP and that test car locally yes. I hope we don't have any foolish fatalities due to amateur drifting on the city streets.

I heard a rumor today from a good source that on the August Long Weekend there will be 3 FR-S available to test drive at a Fort Macleod Auto X event...

Does one have to show up with an auto-x car or can we just show up pay the fee and hop in for a drive?

Sorry, I'm confused here. If anyone wants to have test drive for FR-S, there are 2 right now in Southpointe Toyota available for test drives anytime.

My brother-in-law's FR-S is to be delivered this afternoon. I might be able to snap some pictures and post later.

On the other hand, I like the BRZ.

Got mine, it's awesome - especially the cluster/wheel area. You could tell me it's an 60K car and I'd believe you.

Obviously the other stuff like the center console, glove box, trunk/seat fabric is economy class, but I think it works. There's a hidden 12V plug in the glove box so you can charge your phone/ipod in there.

Break in is rough in that need to keep it under 4k but honestly even under 4 I was zipping around most traffic today. Felt as quick as my chipped 02 1.8T in traffic - with no lag though which is great.

I did cackle out loud on my first open off ramp though. No body roll and the suspension is firm but not harsh at all. They really got it right.

Put both kids seats in, wife and I drove out for dinner, no issues at all. Wouldn't want to do a long road trip as the kids have no window but it will be great for shuttling them around and then having some fun.

    Can't wait for autoX

Too bad we don't have a track anymore.

I think it would feel pretty much at home in the twisties with some good tires.

I read somewhere that is has an insanely low CofG

Saw one of these up in Strathcona today, was black and had the license plate "REBOOTU" (I think...).

    Definitely warranted a double take!

Congrats on your new ride. Just curious how tall are you? I'm surprised you could even fit front facing kid seats back there.

Also don't really need to keep it under 4k, new engines don't need breakins

5'7" with 30 inseam. I'm probably 1 click closer when they are in the car than when not in. I took her and the seat to the dealer on the test drive to make sure of course. I can sit behind myself, if my feet are under the seat. Wouldn't want to go more than 30 mins like that though. You'll fit even at 6'4" but then it becomes a CRX.

Yah I know they redline it at the factory but it's mainly for the other new items/belts/fluids/brakes/valves etc.

Seen a few around. Definitely stands out. Aside from the wheels they look pretty damn good.

It's also Indy weekend up north for anyone that isn't doing that. Probably a good day if you're into it though. Not many registrations.
The worst race live is better than the best race on TV.

"Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you."

"Oversteer is best because you don't see the tree that kills you."
