Layover in Vancouver

So the flight I'm booking has a long layover in Vancouver so I'll have about 12hrs (from 11am-11pm) to look around.

I'm thinking of probably just getting around using the skytrain. What are some places I can go see/do during that time?

Recommended places to eat would be great too for lunch and dinner.

if its a nice day the sea-wall is really nice walk with a few nice beaches, plus its right off of the 'water front' skytrain station. Once your down town you might as well stay down there really. Lots of good eats. Im sure more people with chime in on this one.

A tip for the train. You might as well get a day pass. The last time I took the skytrain from the airport it was close to $10 for a three zone and those are good for one hour and forty five mins. If you go buy a ticket a few station down the line and buy a day pass , it will save you a good 10-15 dollars easy! I live all the way across town in surrey and I don't even pay anymore i just walk on. I refuse to pay a added amount just because I'm coming out of the airport!
