Default Telus is now unlocking iPhones.

Telus mobility is now unlocking iPhones !
This means no more jail breaking and voiding your
    Apple warranty.
    Requirements.
The device must be on Telus hspa
The client must have the device on a post paid account for a min. 90 days
The clients account must be up to date and in good standing.

Just got the memo here at work so I thought I'd pass it on to my fellow beyonders.

Must contact client care so don't come into the store! It's also a 50 dollar fee on your next invoice

Hey I just called Telus client care and they said it is not quite availible and will be availible in the near future.

I would love to unlock it so that when I travel I can use other sims cards other then paying ridiculous DATA Roaming fee's.

Please let me know how I go about unlocking a Telus Iphone 4S. Greatly appreciated OP.

Would love it if this can be verified...I'm still on 4.3.5 with an old baseband as it works with my GeveySim for unlocking but is a PITA everytime I go to the states to swap sims and sometimes the "unlock" takes a bunch of tries to get it to work.

Wait, so you don' t need to have fully completed your contract term?

With Rogers I need to complete my term before they'll unlock it, I've tried.

What stops someone from getting the phone at the subsidized rate, then waiting 90 days and getting it unlocked?

$50 to look up a number? One of the many reasons I hate Telus.

So after a few phone calls into Telus through the 611 number. They finally were able to carrier unlock my Iphone 4S. It literally took 5 minutes.
I tested it out by putting my brothers rogers sim in, the screen says sim needs to be activated. I then hooked it up to itunes 30 seconds later. It said enjoy with the Rogers on the top left. I tested by making a phone call and lone and behold it WORKED.

    DONE AND DONE.

Thanks for the heads up. Now I can travel and buy a local sim card to whereever I am and not have to pay DATA ROAMING charges. Way way CHEAPER!!

After 90 days ( Provided that you got a Subsidized phone) you are still under contract. If you break the contract you will pay the penalty.
