I actually took this shot in 2009. I am in the process of moving some of my photos from one storage system to another and was poking through, considering I took this almost 3 years ago I'm actually pretty proud of it. Mind you it looks fairly different in this edit than it did then:

Anyone get any sky shots tonight?! I saw it and drove home to get my camera, only to completely miss out! Amazing how in a few minutes the sky is completely spectacular or meager.

Finally made it to the zoo on Friday because those are all half days, so I thought it would be a good time to go. Wrong. Apparently that's when every elementary school in Calgary had a zoo field trip haha.

I didn't think it was that good though - about 40% of the animals weren't out and the Australia exhibit is permanently closed. The new Penguin exhibit is really well done, though (except the light sucks for pictures haha)



The penguins repeated this as long as you wanted to watch lol. First, they line up:

its still going. south calgary is getting a really nice light show. stood outside and tried getting some pics but couldn't get them was a nice show to watch though.

lol, that was my plan too on my friday afternoons but maybe it will be less busy once school is done at the end of june.
is the underpass to the lions still flodded?

Thanks ryan, couple of the miranda guys prefer the KTM because it stands out from the background so much better, lol, so conflicted.

I assume your lil one has been walking for a while now?

Standing on his own, but no consistant walking yet. I think it's lazyness.

Maybe boosting the exposure on just his torso and face (what's above the handle bars), might help it pop a little more?

I didn't even go to the Lion area, there were too many kids. I could get into the Africa exhibit building just fine though.

Actually by far the most annoying part was watching kids run around hitting the peacocks and swatting at butterflies in the exhibit, with their parents doing literally nothing about it.
