i purchased cobb AP and will b in town next week. But after reading this thread , i am kinda scared to flash my ecu, since my car has extended warranty until 2016 for 120,000 km. although i am not planning to keep the car until then , but i don't want the warranty voided. At first , i thought i can just uninstall, and then bring into BMW for service ( because a guy in BMW told me , they won't look into your ecu , unless there is something need to be fixed )
Damn what should i do ??
Have you had more time behind the wheel. I know when I got mine back the first few days my avg fuel was 17L/100kms haha. The difference in power is very noticable.Originally posted by Twin_Cam_Turbo
Well I got it back! Didn't have the best test ride on the way back to work but you can tell it's faster for sure! Thanks Tunerworks!
lets race!

Just flash your ECU back to stock for any warranty work or anytime you bring it into the shop..Originally posted by conschoi

About 120km on it so far but most of that has been in rush hour traffic. My fuel economy on this tank has been 14L/100km so far after I got it back.Originally posted by Aleks

Hope you added money to the rear tire budget.

And you do not think that BMW will find out that you flashed the ECU and re-flashed it back to Stock?Originally posted by AudiPWR

So no, they won't.
Update: Car is so much fun! Its awesome going around beating on Camaros and Mustangs and lightly modded Evos and STis. I am about to need another set of tires after Auto X this weekend again, I got 12000km out of a set of Star Specs which is pretty awesome for me

I had the BMW PPK Stage 1 flashed on my 135i just over a month ago. Calgary BMW had a pretty sweet price on the software so I pulled the trigger. Because the gains aren't crazy the change in overall power is not huge. The improvements are:
-Even less lag than stock
-Much better throttle response
Would I spend the money again? Tough to say but after seeing some issues with the aftermarket tunes I figured I'd stick with something reliable. This car is more than fast enough as it is.

I am at +45 front a +50 rear so I think I'm about 5mm out for offset and 10mm wider tread front and rear.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
Depends, if your rims are nearly the same offset then it wouldn't have.
I can't remember what the acceptable tolerance is off hand, +/- 5mm?
