Default Kanye West - College Dropout

Best album I've heard in a while, definitely worth checking out, it's good to see a rap artist straying from the "Gangsta gangsta shoot all yall niggaz" theme. Also listening to Twista's new album as well, sickest vocals on that guy..both worth lookin into..

    he's a sliicccccccccck artist.
Slow Jamz has to be 1 of my favorite tracks I've heard.
His other songs are pretty good too but, nothing toooo great.
But I give him props for his work

Old and busted: Pharrell and Chad
    New hotness: Kanye West

(Well, Neptunes are still great but overexposed.)

That and Neptunes don't really have a whole lot of diversification in they productions, they're good and talented, but it's getting to the point where most the stuff sounds the same... Although same can be said for Timbaland, you know who's beat it is when you hear it, which is fine, unless you put out the number of songs the neptunes do.

Ohh, and WTF does, "Doctor says I have blood clots, but I'm not Jamaican man" f'n mean?

I like the sound of the song, but have no respect for it until I figure out what that means, if it's nonsensical the song can lick my balls.

Well, I agree that MOST of the Neptunes' songs which get played do sound pretty much the same, but they are capable of 'diversifying' their beats. Just wait for the next N.E.R.D. album.

But since this is a Kanye thread, I'd say that what he does is pretty 'diverse' (there's that word again). Like someone said before, he produced Alicia Key's "U Don't Know My Name," and compare that to some of his other recent work on The Black Album and for Ludacris on "Stand Up."

I guess after listening to what Kanye's putting out now, I'd have to give him the edge over the Neptunes.
