    Default What are you doing for fathers day?

    So instead of a big brunch breakfast or a dinner out, we decided to save some money and do stuff around the house. It was my choice. I wanted to get some yard work done, and fixin's for a real good Steak BBQ. Wifey got some flowers, hanging baskets. Did the Father's Day Triad: Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Co-Op.

    So all we got were: a few hanging baskets, replacement line for the weed-eater, lawn fertilizer, weed killer, bulbs for the burnt out landscape lighting, Steaks, Corn, salad etc, for the Barbie and filled up the car.

    Lets play a game:

    How much do you think I spent? (and I didn't even get any booze). Shit is EXPENSIVE!!! and not expensive shit...just little every day shit!!

    This whole weekend is sort of my father's day weekend.
    Spent a few hours yesterday with my two boys watching the Play On street hockey tournament and then they (and mom) took me to Red Lobster for steak and lobster (no upper cuts though). Then we went home and I spent the afternoon replacing the heater core on the truck.

    This morning I went to the older son's ball hockey game. Now we're just sitting around relaxing and having a casual light lunch.

    Calgary is so much like an iphone: iCalgary - There's a bylaw for that.

    Went with the fam to Baker Park, watched a band and ate "authentic" Viet food made by filipinos on the noodle bus..... haha so meh, holy crepe was pretty good though! Tonight doin Steaks on the charcoal grill, and drinking beer! Great day for this dad.

    I just got back from Camping at our spot in Waterton. Was going to take the boat out but there are 4ft swells on the lake. My 14' boat wouldn't like that so much.

    lol, my dad kicked me out and bought his high school car('70 challenger 'vert) and got the engine entirely rebuilt with performance parts..
