I had disconnection problems suddenly appear and then I found this program http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider/ and found out that our new neighbors were running the same channel I was. I switched to a cleaner band and all the troubles went away.

in Lebanon i seen someone create a 8km link on channel 14 using two wrt54g routers with dd-wrt. Even there channel 6 was saturated.
