    Default Nexus 7

Well the google table has now been release!
I was watching the keynote speech a bit and the new features in jellybean look great and it launches on the N7 and will be available in July so I assume ports will be available on the SGS2 for example as they talked about OTA updates for Nexus S and such.

    Specs here
    http://gdgt.com/asus/nexus/7/specs/
    Devices here:
    https://play.google.com/store/device...orpus_selector
    8/16gb
    $209/259cdn
Accessories not yet available in Canada and I cannot seem to check out yet. No SD card slot though so 16gb seems like a safe bet!

should've made a general Google I/O 2012 thread, but the nexus 7 is really impressive.

as well as all the other things they've announced today. Nexus Q and jelly bean.

    No you
I don't know about Nexus Q though if it only works with items linked to the google store as it pulls items from the cloud not devices so would I be able to stream my own files and music?
Jelly bean though looks great, can't wait to try it out and probably put a rom on my SGS2 as well.

i dont get why they dont just throw phone capabilities in these things... it's got a speaker, and a mic... why not a phone> i would love a mid sized tablet with phone functionality, even if i am almost forced to use speakerphone or bluetooth, i never use my phone as a phone anyway

Wow for $200 I'm buying one of those for sure. Love that it has USB as well.

Only downside I see is no expandable memory, and the screen probably won't be *quite* as awesome as it could be, but that's why it isn't expensive. 1280X800 is still very nice.

EDIT: Wow it's an IPS display!

FYI add $20 for shipping, if you wait for it to buy in store you probably will lose the $25 play credit. Great tablet, I'll probably get one too.

Looks like the only cons so far is no expandable memory and no rear camera (that no one uses on a tablet anyway).

I bought the 16gb version so I can load up movies and tv or whatnot. It was $291.94 all in. Still awaiting the case though as it says it is not available yet. Hope to see some other accessories from Google as well.

May consider getting rid of my transformer for this.

Stoked for Jelly Bean on my Galaxy Nexus in a couple of weeks!

    Few more tidbits:

    - 12(!) core GPU
    - CPU can disable cores not in use to save power
    - 12.5 days standby, 10hr browsing, 9hr video playback
    - Itunes integration for existing apple customers (allows for seamless transfer).

I cannot believe this thing is $200 (8GB).

Going to order the 16GB ASAP. And I said I'd never buy a tablet LOL...but for a little over $200 what the hell!

Does the itunes integration come with jellybean?
It is a pita trying to transfer music to my SGS2 with ICS on winamp. Video playback time is awesome for flights and such. Just wish the case was already available as I wouldn't want to put it in my work bag without.

This is the blurb I read from Google...I don't know if it's JB specific.

    Easy import from iTunes

With the Music Manager, you can easily import your entire iTunes music library* into Google Play. Once your music is imported it automatically becomes available on Nexus 7. You'll also be able to enjoy your music on the web at play.google.com and any other Android compatible phone or tablet. You'll never need to sync or worry about backups again.

    * up to 20,000 songs. Cannot include DRM protected songs.

Oh so I suppose that will only be available in the US then as we do not have google music or play magazines or the tv episodes.
