Default Anyone know a body man that welds panel patches??

    Hi Guys,

Looking for a good body man that can weld in panel patches on a rear quarter and rocker panel (due to rust).

All I need is the patches welded in, since I can do the rest of the body work myself.

Not having any luck with the standard body shops in Calgary, as they insist on doing the entire job.

Go see Paul at Garage Box. He may be able to help you out.

What car is it? If its an older honda/acura I would suggest buying a cheap mig welder and going to town. It isn't that hard after you get the hang of it and that is how I learned to weld!

This is what inspired me to do it on my own: Link

Good reference thread, saved for later use.

I checked out the Garage Box website and it looks like mechanical repairs only, didn't see any mention of bodywork.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that is way more work than I am willing to tackle.
