Feels like we're in California or something haha. Crowfoot was out, restaurants were kicking ppl out, alarms going off, intersections are out, and nobody knows the rules when there's no traffic lights.

Would've been nice if there was some warning. People were absolutely confused and flooding the 311 and Enmax phone lines. As the mercury soars, rolling power blackouts have hit Calgary as Enmax is curtailing how much power the city is consuming.
The utility is getting its order from the Alberta Electric System Operator, which Enmax said imposed restrictions on how much power is being consumed in the province.
It’s unclear how long the effort will last, but an Enmax helpline said the power outages will last 30 minutes each and will continue until AESO gives the go-ahead to return to normal operations.
Enmax spokeswoman Doris Kaufmann said the company has “shed” 40 megawatts.
More to come.
