Default Severe thunderstorm watch for Calgary: potential of severe thunderstorm/wind/HAIL!

Hide 'em if you got 'em. Hail is a possibility.

I would be very pleased if this kicked the crap out of my truck. Less excited if it destroyed my new van.

Ah well. my 'hood seems to be pretty sheltered from this sever weather. Always goes around us.

If your car is made of aluminum waiting for the hail to start to move the car is going to be to late. Don't ask me how I know

Last I read from the weather app on my phone is "Torrential downpour and severe large hail likely"

    Yay :/

Of course, this being Calgary, watch it completely miss us and hit Lethbridge or something

Last night at about 3:30 AM, it was absolutely NUTS here in Edmonton. The thunder and the sound of hail banging on the house woke me up. The car was parked outside and I was worried all night. I checked it out this morning and didn't seem to notice any dents so thank God for that! The size of the hail wasn't very big but it was just coming down hard.

Even though I looked at the car, I am still paranoid that maybe I am missing it or something. But hopefully it's fine.

Looks to be near 1800hrs we will have it coming down. The first map link has the best graphics and times (just to the right of the pause, stop, ff, rw, etc controls).

I'll be on in a few hours to report how Walden got a few drops of rain. I look forward to seeing NW cars looking like golf balls.

Haha just for fun I bet my co-worker $50 it will hail. If I take a picture of hail in my hands tonight between 6-7 pm, I win. If no hail, he wins.
