Default RB26DETT Pinging at 3k RPM Wont go over?

Ill TRY and get a video if my connection will ever upload it.. But heres the deal

1994 GTR, Yesterday I decided to change the plugs on the car, placed everything back as put, car starts, idles fine, starts sputtering at 3krpm and wont go over that.

Look over everything several times, try again same thing. Look over connections, all seems good. Put old plugs back in (they were in decent shape anyways) (ALSO the ones I bought 2 of them snapped I have no idea how wasnt over tightened just broke as soon as I turned them) place valve cover back on, checked coils, plug in the 2 sensors that run on the valve cover back, checked ground wires... SAME THING!

Today, I decided to take off the MAF`s on the intakes, cleaned both of them and the MAF plug ins with a cleaner, turned the car on, idles fine, reversed the car out of the garage, idles started getting fucky again, the car was burning rich before and its doing it again right now, apply the brakes or even touch the throttle pedal the revs go out of wack and wants to stall out.

I Tested the MAF`s by unplugging the top one... Immidietly the car shut off.. Good sign means the sensor is fine... I unplug the second sensor and the car is running but starts running rough trying to stall out.. Is that normal for the second MAF?

MAF failure wont allow any older nissan to go over 3000rpm

Unplugging the maf will put the car into open loop and ignore the MAF readings.

You can check for codes but it seems like you pretty much have it singled out already.

You can test the MAF's by measure the voltage that is sent from the sensor to the ECU with a volt meter or a scan tool.

Google will show you how to measure the voltage off a nissan 4-6 pin MAF

Maybe you damaged the coilpack harness when you removed it. And you must have overtightened them....spark plugs don't just break.

99% sure its a MAF. Maybe try a different ingition module as they are known to fail easily. Its not going to be a coil, or spark plug, as that wont give you a governor. The car has gone into safe mode for some reason. I havent played with Skylines for over a year, but I would bet money on it being a bad MAF.

I agree with resetting the ECU, I would check for thrown codes first, then leave the car with the battery unplugged overnight.

How did you clean the mafs?

Did you confirm the new plug gaps with a gauge? I've seen a few out as much as 0.005" right out of the box.
