    Hands down Vancouver Island.

I've done a bit of travelling around Internationally, and there's not been one place IMO that tops Van. Island.

    Insanely nice country out there.

In Canada, Vancouver or Newfoundland (but never been to the latter so that may change haha)

    Elsewhere, Philippines.

Somewhere warmer for the cold months. My parents bought a house in Hawaii that they go to for a few months in the winter, but my wife said she wouldn't want to winter there. Not hot enough.

In the summer months, Van Island is nice. Too many hippies though.

I plan on retiring on my parents acreage in Comox. If they're still around when I retire, they'll need the help anyways

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

If I'm married and rooted here, probably the Island or Calgary.

    If I'm single, Greece.

    Winnipeg. Seriously.

Smoking hot summers, beautiful fall and spring weather, cheap real estate and tons of lake front cottages within an hour drive for reasonable prices.

At the end of the day anyone retiring and needing warm winters won't be staying in Canada. You either get cold dry snowy weather or wet bone chilling humidity.

Sure the OK valley and Victoria areas are nice. But everyone and their dog wants to retire there. Why pay for a nice $600k condo with a view when you have a nice house and a cottage for the same money.

When it comes to retiring. I don't plan on living in a city filled with old retirees everywhere.

End of August i will be moving to Wpg. love it out there (also going for school - so... just happened to be).

My grandparents have a cottage on Hecla Island on Lake Wpg. Crazy nice out there as well.. And cheaper than BC by far.

Interlake Manitoba is where its at.

Actually, I think if everything goes well, 6 Months in Comox, 5 Months in Maui, 1 Month abroad.

Summers here in Alberta with a nice piece of land out in the country. And winters down in Phoenix.
