It's is a competition, sanctioned power lifting meet. It was ran as a qualifier for Provincials. I think only 1 male and 2 females even qualified. By no means did that meet fairly represent power lifting in Alberta. No one good was there.

So I signed up to Goodlife @ Beacon Hill.

Minus the dbags, lack of benches/pull up machines, and people not putting away their weights, it's a decent gym!

I've been going at the 5/3/1 workout for last while and I'm not sure I enjoy it as much as 5x5. I miss doing squats 3 times a week

Gonna try to go at it for a couple more months and then take another look at a new/revised workout plan.

I will be moving out soon so the fridge is all mine to buy and prepare whatever the hell I want to.

Try this if you find your lifts stalling or your just getting bored. The westside method worked wonders for me

you some come to northland goodlife with me some day. I stopped going to beacon hill. The environment at northland is so much better, people are more serious about working out and there's less people socializing.

Did you have to cancel with Beacon Hill goodlife and then sign up for Northland? Or will the same pass work?

Jl: yeah I might come by one time and lift with you heh. I will try to keep up with you.

Marsh: they have single gym membership or city/country wide. You have to find out what you signed up for.

Okay so I've been away from this thread for awhile because I've been super busy with work and house stuff.

No excuses though because I've still been working out.

I was talking to a buddy of mine and got motivated to set goals. He's the one that got me into working out and I made extreme gains when training with him.

My goal: by end of year I want to have PR (1 rep) of:

Squats: 305lbs (I can do around 2 reps of 280 right now)
    Bench: 300lb+ (I can 270lbs for 2-3 reps, 3 on a good day)
Deadlifts: 415lbs (I can do 380-5 for 1-3 reps based on day)
Overhead press: 175lbs (I can a decent amount at 155lbs)

End date of goal is going to be December 31st, 2013 11:59pm

Time to eat, sleep, train, and work! I have no vacations planned so the only interruptions are deadlines at work or holidays with family and friends!

It's about time definitely mirin dat bench and OHP(my two weakest parts lol). I think you can easily hit those goals within a month(except for maybe bench).

    Haha thanks.

I got through 405# Deadlift tonight without too much trouble. Definitely need a higher goal I think.

Tried for 285 tonight at bench and didn't work out too well haha. I will try 10lbs lighter next time.

    Thanks boss!

I did a practice event for CCC and my legs were burning for a couple days and so I decided to take a break to rest up. Tonight I will be going hard on my legs and will also be implementing a new method bruce sent me.

Here goes! working weight is only 255 today
