It would be great if there were a way to let other people know that you're done with the car while you're looking for parking, that way if they are looking to start a rental they could just flag you down and you pull over wherever for a quick hand off. Car2go is great when it works, sucks when you can't find a car or find parking.

Lately every time I walk down 8th ave SW, there are a bunch of car2go's with parking tickets on them. They are parked on the street where park plus is used. No restrictions but they all have tickets. I wonder how that works? I thought they had free parking with park plus???? Or am I completely wrong?

As far as i know they do, that is weird. As long as there are no restrictions you can park them there forever. I always park by mcdougal so that someone will take the car before the 2 hours

You are correct the car2go's should have free parking in any non-restricted (ie. no stopping/parking restriction) area. I think it may be a misinformed meter maid. I was in a car2go the other day and I was looking at the parking ticket that was inside the car. Apparently the meter maid wrote down that there was no payment on 8th ave in the 30 min parking zone and that he chalked the tires twice.

I've seen the tickets in other cars and there are alot of them for parking in the 30 min zone on 8th ave.

I got a call saying last time I used it I didn't make sure it went through the whole card check when I tapped out.

They credited all the minutes/hours back to me based on location of the vehicle. Pretty awesome customer service I'd say.

These car2go's are easy-peezy tickets for parking patrol as well as tows for tow truck drivers. I see tickets all the time on them, and 80% of the week there is always one parked incorrectly beside my building.

Anyone who frequents Craft on saturday nights will see these things getting towed like crazy. They're always parked across the street or right in front and by midnight when the 6 tow trucks show up they all get picked up.

I never knew you couldn't park there after 10 until I checked street view.
