Any of you guys have a yellowish screen? Side by side with my iphone 4, the iphone 5 has like a yellowish ivory tint..

Did a Google search and seems like I am not the only one..

The more I play with the iphone 5, the more I think its crap and not worth the upgrade. When is the Sammy S4 coming??

Go to the Apple store and claim it under warranty. Might as well use it while you've got it and it's free.

Color temps vary slightly across screens. Sucks that Apple doesn't have Color Temp profiles to get things calibrated. Some people prefer warm, some prefer cool. They're still way too cool compared to a calibrated display though, so getting warmer is actually more "correct".

I've noticed that since the 4, the color temp has gotten progressively warmer (more yellow). Not that it really matters, your eyes and brain "white balances" things anyways, it's just when you compare screens side by side do you notice color temp differences.

No issues with battery life here. Last 2 days with LTE, Location Services, wireless. I haven't tried to max the life out of my phone.

Screen has no colour issues.

Purple flare is there. It is annoying, haven't tried to minimize this.

Got the exact same plan last week through retentions minus the 100 bonus minutes. Paying $54.xx tax included. Was pretty easy dealing with retentions, was expecting it to be more difficult.

Now just waiting for the phone to arrive

My car supports BT, but the controls are basic. Track +1 +2 -1 -2 etc. I usually use BT, but if I want to switch it up, I plug the phone in so I can legally change songs (stupid distracted driving laws) on the car controls.

If I'm right, car manufacturers are going to have to do integration all over again. It's not as simple as a software update. Instead of streaming the analog audio from the 30-pin jack to the amp, it has to pull the song digitally, decompress it, and send it out.

I hope I'm wrong on it. Might hold off on the 5 for now till it's sorted out.

And I'm wrong. Got an adapter to test today since they finally shipped, and it works perfectly in the car. Exact same functionality as the old iPod connector. Full access to playlists, searches, and charging.

OK, another update.

So Mercedes doesn't use iPod out, it just copied the interface themselves so it looks similar, hence no issues.

Apparently, the new jeeps with the screens as well as BMW uses iPod out. And the adapter only charges. Cars that use iPod out looks like this:



The biggest difference I can see between mine and the "iPod out" interface is the accessibility of the Genius playlists. According to the video @ 2:05, Genius is not available with the old integration (which works with iPhone 5 + adapter), and only available with iPod Out (which doesn't work with iPhone 5 + adapter). I don't have access to those my cars.

Anyone with a BMW I can test with? Going to do a full documentation of what works, and what doesn't.

Tested adapter on a Pioneer Z series headunit, works fine. iPod controls work perfect, and phone charges well.

Anyone having issues with sending pictures via SMS/MMS? Just set my wife's phone up on Fido and all pictures seem to fail. I've been reading about the issue but can't figure it out.
