I am. I was fully charged this morning when I left for work at 6am. I have update center and location services on and I have the back light set to auto adjust. I'm at about 10%.
I'm going to have to get a second Lightning cord to leave at work as I usually like to listen to internet radio when I'm here.

It really is annoying. I've shut it on and off and tried a few other things but nothing helps. I've also gone through a GB of data in the last 6 days. Love the phone itself, but fuck some of these issues are annoying as hell.

Something else i also noticed, if you have back light auto adjust on it occasionally sets your screen brightness to full when outside. I shut off auto adjust and i just leave it at a set brightness which has seemed to help a little bit.

I noticed that too. Even if I'm just in a brightly lit room it tends to be at full brightness. After having it this way for a bit I may change it to a set brightness as I don't use my phone outside all that much. That should help a bit but I still dont think I'll be able to stream music all day without a connector.

Speaking of streaming music, I'll have to watch how much data I'm using if you've already chewed up a GB in 6 days. The highest I got on my 3G was 4GB for the month and that was with streaming most of the day 5 days a week.

Power drains so fast on my iPhone 5. Before iOS 6, I keep my screen brightness level low with auto-brightness ON and it will remain low, now with iOS 6, it will mostly stay high if it's ON no matter how you adjust it. Now I keep auto-brightness OFF and keep the brightness to about 10-20% on both my iPhone 5 and iPad 3 and will make a huge difference in battery life. I know it sucks not having full brightness and clarity whenever you use it but I think battery capacity is just not keeping up with the phone's capabilities. Just turn up the brightness when you need it.

Here's my recent Rogers plan that I had to fight for, damn some of you have awesome plans.

    300 daytime minutes
    Unlimited evening/weekend starting at 5PM
    Unlimited incoming
    Unlimited network calling
    Unlimited text/media messaging
    MY10
    6GB data
    Visual voicemail
    Caller ID/ Name display

    all-in about $75

Le sigh... Reading about you guys talking about adjusting the brightness just reminds me how much I am going to miss having a jailbroken phone.

I might hold off getting the 5 until they officially release iOS 6 jailbreak.

For some reason I think I've read setting up as a new phone helps battery life

I am unable to google around to support this right now though, but try it?

I use gmail exchange to sync contacts and every time I do something firmware/jailbreak related I always setup as a new phone.

But I also keep it set to edge, and pretty much everything else off until required. Sbsettings makes short work of toggling those things on/off

I think I mentioned this before, but co-worker having all the same battery issues as you guys are, he turned off LTE to conserve power...but that kind of defeats the purpose. Can't even make it through the day with minimal use..that's pretty bad.

Just letting you guys know that every the iPhone 5 can be factory unlocked by third parties for Rogers, fido, Koodo, and Telus.

Bell and Virgin iPhone 4/4s and 5's don't have a third party unlock available yet however.

35% right now. Unplugged at 9 am.. Don't see how users are getting such terrible battery life.

Sometimes brand new batteries take some time to settle as well. After a few cycles, you should be able have a battery which is at it's full potential.

Price ranges from 79-159 depending on method used and the carrier.

Telus 12 hour turn around time unlocks ring in at the cheapest.

Rogers is the most expensive at and has a 1-7 day processing time.

By method I mean in terms of turn around time.

I'm currently using an iPhone 4. Updated to iOS 6 as soon as it was available to the general public on September 19th.
Have a look at my date usage patterns and judge for yourselves.
This doesn't really affect me since I have 6GB included in my plan, but I could definitely see some people getting screwed over by this apparent surge in data usage.

It just baffles me how all the tech journalists say they easily manage a day with LTE and full brightness yet most of you are barely getting a day with reduced brightness.
