Mine says the same thing, scanned at Richmond, BC at 8:30 am today. Expected delivery date is still the 1st.

Well, just called again (3rd time this week) over to Telus retentions to (finally) switch over from prepaid to M2M (as I posted about earlier, couple pages back), even though I don't get my iPhone 5 til next week (darn UPS!)...BUT...

I am happy to report success and satisfaction with Telus CSR!

Got switched over to (from Telus prepaid):
- 200 daytime
- Unlim eve/wkend (6pm)
- Unlim messaging (text/pic/vid)
- CID & VM
- 6GB data

For $60/month (+tax). However, she also gave me a $5/month credit for first 3 months (so $55+tax), and all this on month to month plan (no contract required!). In addition, I previously mentioned the $100 credit if you bring a unlocked phone and activate on MTM plan. It's supposed to be for "new activations and on in-market (ie. non-retention) plans" only...but she also gave me this as well! I'm already considered a Telus customer, so she manually applied it to the account (as a "feature adjustment") and all in one $100 lump-sum credit on first bill.


Thus, just wanted to say publicly cheers to her and Telus!
Definitely the most helpful and pleasant CSR I've ever dealt with on any provider (Telus/Rogers/Fido).

Guess some kind confidence and a little sweet talking can indeed go a long way! ...And now my (extra) wait over the weekend for my UPS delivery won't be so torturous.

For what I use it for, it's perfect for me.
Barely talk, main usage is all text/data.

Plus key thing for me, no contract (I travel around a fair bit, so don't want to be 'stuck' paying bills when I'm not in the country).

And also, usually hard to negotiate with retentions unless you have (at least) min 1 year on contract history with provider (I've been with them on prepaid < 1 year). So I'm not gonna complain and try and get more (which I wouldn't use anyways). Checked with all my friends, they are either paying more for same, have less data for same price, and/or had to sign contract to get those prices. Good luck getting this plan as a new customer also...I tried Rogers (just to see what they could do), and the guy was basically as useless as a bag of rocks.

Coles note: I am happy, got what I was searching for (plus the extra $100 bonus credit, which I was not expecting).

- 300 daytime
- unlimited evening/weekend starting at 5pm
- unlimited text
- 1000 canada-wide long distance
- MY10 canada-wide
- voicemail
- call display
- 6 GB data

Mine has been stuck at Richmond BC as well since midnight.. Last update is import scan at 8AM.. I guess I won't be getting it over the weekend. It initially said it will be delivered today but now, it doesn't even have a delivery date.

Who has the best iphone 5 contract plans? My sis wants to get one. Her contract with telus ended but they only offered her a $55 plan same as sputniks I think.

Does Telus offer a discounted iphone 5 or no?

Meh it's fine with me, like I said above. Telus also did offer me the plan I listed for $55 (on-going) if I signed a min 1-year, but didn't want to.
Definitely nice to have more features (your wife's plan) compared to mine, but honestly, I wouldn't use any of MY10/LD/extra daytime/etc.

Same here. I just checked though now after you posted, and now it says "Scheduled Delivery Updated to: Tuesday Oct, 2".


*Edit: I'm in the same boat as Shakalaka as well, destinationa scan 22:30 (Calgary)...hoping for Monday!

Right now it's at Richmond, BC too.

You couldn't even if they were open. Unless you schedule a pick-up ahead of time, you have to wait for delivery.

I called fido retentions yesterday and negotiated a new plan AND I was able to skip the reservation line. They are sending me an iPhone to my address in 2-3 bus days. We will see if they follow through

For those getting the phone on Rogers, are any of you guys on Retention plans? If so, are they renewing your current credits for 3 more years?

I currently have a $47/month plan ($17.50 + stuff + 6GB - $15 credits). I bought my iPhone unlocked from Apple.ca because I read on Redflag that Retentions were being very stingy in renewing credits since the past month or so, in some cases not even offering the current base plan that people are on.

If Rogers renewed my credits, then I would just HUP and sell my Rogers iPhone for profit. If they don't renew the credits, then I don't know if I would come out ahead financially, would profit on reselling iPhone > more expensive plan for 3 years?

As far back as 8 month ago rogers has stopped being very generous. I called them and was seriously threatening to cancel since I was tired with all of their BS and credits ect ect, they did absolutely nothing. I ended up canceling 3 lines with them, and I tried multiple times too. This was after 10 years with them.

Also, if they do renew your credits, be very careful that they don't just make it a 3 year contract...but only 1 year of credits. Had this happen to my wife's account and mine as well, one of the reasons why I finally said fuck it and left them.
