Is Rear Wheel Drive good in the snow? Some people say it good but just don't go gasing around every corner (with Winters tire) and some say it bad.
Any details would be appreciated! Thanks

If you like cars and generaly enjoy driving, RWD in winter will be ok. If you're like majority of population that drives to get around you will hate it.
Use the search button. This topic has been beat to shi* over and over and over again...
If you have to ask... you likely shouldn't be driving one...

No ebrag, I have 0 problems in a light rwd with all seasons I have a feeling auto trans might make it harder though
auto is super fun! nothing like doing a brake stand down a hill cause its so icy you can just barely touch the brakes without locking them upOriginally posted by slinkie

[ebrag] I daily drive an 04 ported cobra w/ 600hp and no traction control in the winter, on 225 Blizzak tires. No problems here [/ebrag]Originally posted by slinkie

I love my 2100lb Miata in the winter with my $100 winter tires haha such a blast.
Didn't have many problems once I got winters on. Driving standard helps too.
Ding ding ding. I have the same general rule of thumb. If you have to ask you Probably have no clue the advantages/ disadvantages so just buy a fwd or AWD. I've been rwd year round for 4-5 years now and couldn't imagine anything else now.Originally posted by gretz

I'd also say it depends on what type of vehicle you have. Driven a cts, 5 series and m45 in the winter. Traction control helps and when you get stuck turn it off, should be able to plow through most snow.
We stopped checking for monsters under our beds when we realized they were inside us.
put winters on the car, you will absolutely love it...i have never had any issues with my previous 3 RWD cars...might even wanna stud the tires
DD my 98 Camaro z28 stick shift..studded winter 225's make a world of difference. Plus , you can have some real fun with rwd around corners/empty parking lots once you get the hang of it. Start in second gear if it just wants to spin.
Highway can be really sketchy sometimes but otherwise its no problem and fun!
Good tires and pay attention and you'll be fine
