Haha suckas, I'm in New Zealand at the moment and it's puking all over the south Island. Just mounted up my Libtecs and we're all getting ready to head out.
I'm hoping to pop over to NZ before the end of Aug if I can afford it. Any tips?
I gotta get some new skis this year. I'm pretty stoked to get the season started. Plus my little guy will be on his second season so it'll be lots of fun!

Since it's still summer here in North America...found this on Teton Gravity's website. Freebord is based here in Canada. Looks awesome, tempted to give it a shot.

Any recommendations for an all-mountain ski?
Last season I was on some borrowed BD Verdicts, with AT bindings... I'm looking for something similar with normal bindings, and about 95mm underfoot. Right now, I'm liking the idea of the Atmoic Theory's with the rocker, but there are many other skis out there that I haven't heard of. Hoping to find old stock on sale
South Island. The club fields are the bomb. Great terrain with no people, but they all use these sketchy ass rope tows powered by a tractor. Queenstown/Wanaka is good too but a lot more commercial and touristy. I guess if you want purist skiing go to the clubbies, and if you want a good apres ski party and still have some good terrain then hit up QT.Originally posted by canadiandaytona

^^ Queenstown is stupid fun, but Wanaka is one of my favorite small towns that I've had a chance to visit.
SUPER excited for this season, I was traveling the first half of the season and was broke/unemployed and only got out a few times.
Now all I have to do is get my ass together and save up for gear. I don't think I can punish my skis/boots through another season
I am super stoked! Sticking with my Bacons from last year and I need to get some park skis, wanna learn rails and some spins this year!
I'm thinking about taking up skiing or maybe another season on my board. I want to see how much better I can get riding first.

It's pretty cool when the kids start following. Are you putting the little one in lessons or teaching him yourself?
