    Default Newly Acquired Civic Turbo

Hey guys, bought a project civic with a B18B motor, and a 14b turbo.

The previous owner said that the turbo needed to be replaced, it burned.

The turbo is oil and coolant-cooled.

Here is the problem, gave the car to warm up for a good few minutes, take it for a few spins, hit turbo, and the car would smoke like crazy, almost to the extent, where its an embarressment.

Now having the car for a few weeks, I've taken it on longer drives, and now that the car is more warmed up, no matter how many times I hit boost, it doesn't blow out as much, or any visible amounts of smoke.

Can anyone clarify this situation? I'd like to know!

    Thanks!
    BOOST!!

blown turbo seal, replace or rebuild. you'll see a bunch of smoke once you come to a stop like at a light and start going again, same thing happened to my civic before i changed the turbo
