If you just want to trim, and maybe delete audio, MPEG_Streamclip is free, and really small.Originally posted by rotten42
What do people use for a video editing tool for pc?....preferably free?
Windows movie maker is great for hacking down clips. For dashcam stuff I use WMM and don't even bother with Premiere.Originally posted by Thaco

Or just use the youtube video editor.

I lowered the angle a bit, but honestly the quality in early morning is brutal.. might need to clean something or not sure. Still set to 1080 @ 30 fps. I'm barely catching plates at all
just as I say I haven't had much idiots recently, good two days...
then this morning, I just had to laugh and have no clue what he was thinking at all... made it much worse
and then on the way home, ah love to just drop kick someone
Caught this major accident last night. I was a little far away. The vehicle in front of me, had a stop sign and must have proceeded when it was unsafe to do so. Everyone was okay.
There was so much construction crap in the way, you can't even see one (at least in the video)Originally posted by Jro

Ya lots of construction. I'm in the middle of the intersection when impact takes place. Hope that helps, you'll want to make sure you change to 1080p and full screen for this one.Originally posted by Tik-Tok

I meant the stop sign, not the accident, lol. I saw that.Originally posted by Jro

Yah, I know if fairly hard to see around that corner. And if the larger SUV was speeding slightly, I would see how this would have happened.

Just watched the video again myself. And I talked to the guy driving the black suv (the one in-front of me) this morning. He didn't see the stop sign because it's behind that steel bin & portable out-house.Originally posted by kaput
Where is the stop sign? I watched the crash video a couple times and can't find it.
Interesting thing with that intersection. If you look to the left, there is a safety mirror on the post... that said, there is also ZERO visibility to see cross traffic in the close lane, forcing a driver to pull forward to see past the boarding walls...
That said, at least cops arent that far away, as thats the vic park copstop on the nw corner...

When I got out of my car to help, there was already a cop there. I believe he was parked just across the street, as I always see at least two CPS vans there.Originally posted by TheHumbleGeek

yup... theres usually more around 4am (appears to be shift change time), but theres always a couple...
Used to drive that intersection three times a night, and had more close calls than id care to admit to... (yes, most of them were taxi's turning left to go up to cowboys casino, but thats beside the point )

Yeah, I didn't see the guy brake at all until the crash was imminent. And you can see from the camera footage as well that the stop sign is not at all visible behind the construction bin.Originally posted by Jro

I can't totally blame the guy - though if you can't see the road signs you should probably be more careful, as to avoid situations like this.
With that said - the construction company gets off scott-free for blocking road signs? Somehow, that doesn't seem right....
Wow, it doesn't take much to roll a truck/SUV. Glad everyone is alright.
It is too bad that the stop sign was obscured... Did the police issue a ticket to the driver? Even if there is no sign there, uncontrolled intersection rules apply. So the driver should have looked right and yielded to any traffic coming from the right.
I asked the driver to let me know how it all turns out insurance wise.Originally posted by cloud7

I don't see how it would turn out any way but 100% his fault? I'm pretty sure that place has had a stop sign since I could drive and back when it was still coyotes. (So at least since 2003...)Originally posted by Jro

Either way someones insurance has to pay and no way will it be the fault of the driver with the RoW.
I would have to think placing blame on CoC or construction crews for obstructed stop sign would be rather difficult?
