This. Why I am so turned off SUVs. When I see them in an accident/in the news, etc.. There's a very good possibility it is not on its wheels. It just boggles my mind how much North Americans love these things and despise wagons. Oh yes being on your roof after an accident is soooooo "manly".Originally posted by cloud7
Wow, it doesn't take much to roll a truck/SUV.
You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!
Funny thing is, it's not usually guys who wants one (after all it's even more manly to have a pickup), it's women who "feel safer" riding up high.

You kidding me? So many guys are usually like I will never buy a wagon, will never be caught dead in a minivan, but an SUV, they handle like shit, brake like crap, and rollover. Yup that's what I want.Originally posted by Tik-Tok

If you don't need/want a truck but regularly drive down unmaintained roads or tow a boat, camper or car trailer, an SUV is a fine solution. Not everyone's driving is restricted to Starbucks runs or shuttling brats around the city. Sure, the braking and handling might not be near as good as the wagon, but if you're driving appropriately for the vehicle and for public roads, it will never be an issue.

Single lane both directions crossing I believe is a 4 lane one direction. The 4 lane would be considered the major road and given right of way regardless of stop sign visibility.
I wonder if the black SUV that caused the accident had a drink or two at the casino and did not use his judgement due to being under the influence.
It doesn't at all, in HS I was in a slow roll crash in a Cherokee, the driver tried to make it ahead of traffic, but the rear end slid out on gravel (from winter sanding), skidded across the oncoming lane @ about 60 km/h and the tires must've folded under themselves or something as it started rotation.Originally posted by cloud7

I watched from the passenger seat as the ground slowly came closer and closer to my elbow on the window sill, I watched the sideview mirror close inwards on itself and that was it, we were on our side, nothing violent in terms of motion, just gently rolled over on its side all together probably took 5 seconds until it stopped.
I'm not afraid of buying/driving an SUV though, only of riding in one with someone who's a shitty driver
I can tell you he didn't come from the casino.Originally posted by takkyu

Yeah, and in a nice low car or wagon, your side window is about the high of most of the lifted rig rockets in this town. You can "what it" it to death, but really people should just buy whatever works for them and if someone else chooses differently, they should shut up and not get their jimmies rustled over it. If you're happy with a wagon, great. If you want a SUV, truck, or a fucking moped, good for you, go nuts.Originally posted by takkyu

I used to take that exit daily, the amount of times I've been cut off, and the amount of accidents that happen there is just crazy.Originally posted by Maxt

Ah shit. But thankfully you had the webcam. A manual Ram perhaps left in neutral and distracted, not knowing there was a slope.Originally posted by gpomp
