My dash cam sits about 1m closer to the front of the car than (my) head location. That video was a close call.

I guess we were going too slow for his liking......

No. There was no contact made.

My car was narrow enough to squeeze by, even though the white Kia was already part-way in my lane.

If I were driving an SUV, I would've clipped him for sure.

Not paying attention, not cautious passing a stopped vehicle this driver powers through a crosswalk while a pedestrian starts to cross.

Covered the horn in case the second driver wasn't slowing down.

That would be a good place to put crosswalk lights up, no one even realizes that crossing exists.

That's an interesting place to mount your dash camera. I kind of like it. Which camera are you using? And did you have to create a DIY mount?

But then again, if you want to avoid shit like this the future, then just drive defensively - don't follow so close. I find if I just let people do whatever shit they want in front of me because I leave plenty of room, I get to work MUCH less pissed.
The accord made the lane change (with plenty of room), and the Corolla in front braked a lot harder during the move, which caused everyone behind to brake hard including the Accord. Problem was he was trying to close up on the Corolla at the same time, so yea, he had to brake hard as the Accord was in the middle of the lane change.

Don't get me wrong, it's annoying, but like you said, don't follow too close and this wouldn't have happened. Once the accord made its intention of moving in, I would've backed off in that situation long ago. If you don't want people into your lane, follow the car ahead closer so there is no room.

Stuff like this is all part of driving in traffic. You'll never be able to make lane changes if you drive like a nice guy.

I'm still surprised I haven't been posted on dashcam yet. I'm pretty aggressive with my lane changes during rush hour to get in the "good" lanes throughout my commute.

My suction cup mount broke so instead I just have it under the passenger headrest sandwiched between the headrest and the top of the seat. Ghetto but it's good enough until I buy a new camera/camera mount.

You called it. Ojocam. I love this thing. Fits right behind my mirror mounted directly to the window. I can't see it even slightly from the drivers seat.
