I've had so many close calls there because yea, people are fucking stupid there. At least yours was at night, the # of close calls I've had were in bright ass daytime conditions. I drive this section 2-3x a week and I've changed my route to 16th ave instead. Way more traffic, but hilariously less stressful. Throw on the self driving cruise control, relax and listen to my tunes from Barlow to Crowchild.

I finally have some worthy to post up in here. Heres some context first.

Watch this FB video first. This guy, apparantly the night before, stole a white Dodge Ram, got into a bunch of collisions, cornered by cops, shot at, and escaped. Next day hes spotted in a Red Dodge Ram and then whatever these guys did to him, pissed him off enough to just keep crashing into them.

My footage I believe is right after he crashed into them, and got off the highway while getting chased by the cops. Peep the rear cam footage and collision caused in result of not knowing what to do and panicing LOL. Not very good at tech so had to upload 2 vids, wish i knew how to join them together.




Dude has 17 warrants prior to his arrest and now is facing 28 charges. Probably gonna be back on the street in 24 hours.

When a random vagrant accosts me downtown, they always have the option to... you know... just not fucking do that. I can't think of a single time in my entire life that I've had a negative encounter with a homeless person where they had no option other than to insult me, invade my space, or otherwise make my day worse for simply being in their vicinity.

Acting like a degenerate towards normal upstanding people who are just downtown to work or go for a drink is in no way related to fighting for survival as a homeless person.

Its so bad that my kids are never to ride transit in this city...EVER! I will drive them anywhere they are wanting to go. It's quite sad. I really do feel for the homeless and I volunteer my time every year to try and help but this violent shit has gotten extremely bad.

This and/or fentanyl. I always found the wingnuts wouldn't bother me if I acted like I was drunk off my ass, and sometimes it wasn't an act. Many times I'd take the last train of the night to Whitehorn with no issues, and one time I missed the last train and had forgotten my wallet at home, so I walked to Whitehorn, that was a nice way to sober up in 2 hours. This was over 10 years ago when I worked downtown and lived in the dreamy NE, sounds like stuff has gone to shit HUGE since then.
