You know how a dash cam makes things seem not as close as you thought? Not a problem here...
Well, I thought we might have traded paint...

holy fuck spikers that was a close call... where's the volume lol, censorship!!
To be fair, they had their signal on and they clearly were pushing their way in. *Entirely* their fault, but from the looks of the video you could have assessed an idiot driver and fallen back. Lack of sound makes it harder to assess the situation.
what do you mean by "to be fair, they had their signal on"Originally posted by Kloubek

Not trying to start an argument, just not sure what you meant

do you usually check cars on either side of you in your blind spots to make sure they dont have their signals on and want your lane.

There is volume, but Cathy and I were having a conversation that we didn't want aired in the public at the time.Originally posted by colinxx235

Holy jesus titty fucking christ!
I see this 3 or 4 lane change happen on deerfoot so often, I am surprised there are not more crashes like this.

Little pink lunchbox
Edit: just read the youtube description, only the driver in the car, and she actually survived
I don't know why the fuck people do shit like that. Just last night I was about to miss my turnoff on Deerfoot, I was in the middle lane, but because there was another vehicle about a car-length behind me in the right lane, I chose not to... there's always another turn-off FFS. Either be in the correct lane to begin with, or wait till the next one.

I can't count how many times I've almost been side-swiped on Deerfoot because of some retard driving in the leftmost lane + suddenly realize he needs to take an exit + immediately cuts 3 lanes over to the exit lane without even shoulder-checking.
It's not the end of the world to miss an exit, take the next one, then just turn around.

Video and comments remind of Deerfoot south at MacKenzie exit. Vehicle after vehicle from far left lane fly over to make the exit.
facepalm...

That works. Which camera do you have?Originally posted by Modelexis
My suction cup mount broke so instead I just have it under the passenger headrest sandwiched between the headrest and the top of the seat. Ghetto but it's good enough until I buy a new camera/camera mount.
3 drivers deciding to make a bicycle lane/shoulder into their own personal turning lane (The Audi is especially douchey because he started in his 'personal' lane 3 blocks up from the intersection.)
I like things with wheels.
that happens here because people will not go behind a semi to make the turn they will instead proceed to fly in front of them lock up their brakes then cut over 3 lanes, instead of going behind them with no traffic to deal with. from what I have seen
This right here is the cause of most accidents I see. When I learned to drive, you turned around. Now people will do anything, and I do mean anything, to make their turn.Originally posted by doomdealer

Today, I was driving in busy traffic, 3 lane one way road. The car in the right lane (in front of me) suddenly decides he needs to turn left at THIS intersection. Needless to say his car is a write off and he may not survive the night, courtesy of the semi-truck in the left lane.
Wish I had a dashcam.

Any dashcam would be better than nothing.
I caught this wreck on the weekend. The driver and passenger were shaken, but seemed ok. Their Hyundai, not so much..
^ Thats a great explanation why accidents happen on a warm clear day on deerfoot. Simple driving fail.
