lol wtf, full contact from what it looks like
I don't get what the focus was trying to accomplish to begin with though

Holy fuck that was awesome.
shake n bake
Uh, what video are you watching? The dodge cut me off, not the other way around. And even though it's clear what he was going to do doesn't make it OK. I sped up so that he wouldn't be a douche and cut me off but he did it anyway. I kept at the speed limit and he proceeded to keep going at 20+ over.Originally posted by GTS4tw
Its obvious what he meant, the purposeful acceleration to cut the dodge off even though it was clear what he was going to do. But this has been beaten to death in this thread. Some people just love to show off how shit they are at driving.
My guess is that there was an altercation before that happened. Just a couple of dick drivers letting their aggression get the better of them.Originally posted by schocker

If you didn't speed up though, he wouldn't have "cut you off" because there would have been plenty of room for him to change lanes.Originally posted by JustinMCS

It looks further than in real life. It was a douche move no matter what
That was fucking hilarious.
Looking around
Wondering what became
Of what I once knew
Looks like both those drivers deserve suspensions. Using a vehicle as a weapon on the road is not excusable.
from the video it looked like:
1. the focus cut off the dodge in the merge lane
2. the dodge tried to cut off the focus but fishtails a bit and hits or almost hits the focus
3. then the focus cut off the dodge again and proceeds to brake check
was it worth it? how much time did you save?
just gotta let shit go sometimes

I'd be surprised if it was the start of everything on the video, probably other stuff going on ahead of time too.Originally posted by samo147

Here's what I get from the vid: if you're going to be fucking douche, at least get a vehicle that is capable of letting you douche it up (i.e. BMW). That SUV (Sequoia?) is all over the fucking road.
You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!

I'd rather have an SUV and rage. If shit hits the fan and a collision occurs, guess who's going to be hurting more, lol.

The SUV driver will likely spend time in jail, while the Focus driver will get a small remuneration for any physical trauma. Both will likely have lost their jobs, homes, drivers licenses etc. as a result.

The SUV will be hurting. It's active safety (avoiding a collision in the first place) vs. passive safety (safety features of the car). A small car can outmaneuvre a big SUV. It can stop faster, turn faster, and just about anything else. And in a collision, there's a very good chance the SUV will end up on it's roof. That Focus can douche it up all day long, while I wouldn't even dream of attempting something like that with the SUV.Originally posted by Zhariak

In IIHS testing for passive safety, that Focus fares just as well as a Tundra (can't find any records on the Sequoia). This isn't 1980.
I'd pick the small car each and every time.

I'm just going to quote the IIHS on this.Originally posted by clem24

Being nimble is good, but as soon as the big SUV and the small car collide, the laws of physics take over and the small car loses. Some proponents of mini and small cars claim they're as safe as bigger, heavier cars. But the claims don't hold up. For example, there's a claim that the addition of safety features to the smallest cars in recent years reduces injury risk, and this is true as far as it goes. Airbags, advanced belts, electronic stability control, and other features are helping. They've been added to cars of all sizes, though, so the smallest cars still don't match the bigger cars in terms of occupant protection.
However, on the manoeuvrability front...
Yet another claim is that minicars are easier to maneuver, so their drivers can avoid crashes in the first place. Insurance claims experience says otherwise. The frequency of claims filed for crash damage is higher for mini 4-door cars than for midsize ones.
Damn I wanna see the rest of that

im trying to figure out what he could have possibly done before the video started, and a lesson is always stop back far enough so that you can get around them. Lol, I don't have the patience to deal with someone like that, I would be out of the car the second he opened his door, and my camera would have a "malfunction"
