Battery replaced about 6 months ago with a brand new battery from Asus, no cheap chinese knock offs.

The main 500GB hdd has been replaced with a Seagate Hybrid drive (500GB total, 4GB flash storage cache)

Laptop has been reloaded with the restore dvds and updated to latest windows updates.

Replaced power brick with a new asus branded one that has a right angle plug instead of the old straight plug that caused issues.

Replaced optical drive with exact same model as the original no longer would read dvds, only blurays.
