If that is the truth then I can get behind this.Originally posted by 403Gemini
from what I understand it's just another story of Max, not a reboot or anything like that
I'm sick of pointless remakes.
I would've been happier with that too.Originally posted by BigMass
while it's not a remake, the trailer makes it look like one. Same costumes and action sequences as Road Warrior. Personally, I would be more interested in a follow up to Thunderdome that explores an aging Max in a post apocalyptic world in search of a more established civilized outpost/oasis etc. Less action, more story etc.
Everything I've read about it is that it it's both reboot and sequel. Tons of elements are changed, but Max's history is the same (as in the other movies story lines "happened").
Otherwise how else would he have his car and jacket back?
It looks like you can see the factory from Mad Max 2 for a second in the trailer. Maybe this movie is what would happen if he never made it to the factory in the first place, and got captured by the crazies instead?

Those new trailers are intense! Could end up being a good movie.
Damn looking forward to this

I've heard about Mad Max before but I've never seen it, the one with Mel Gibson. The reviews of this movie is up there, like, 98% with around ~190ish critic reviews! Looks like a great movie! I want to see this now!
Watch the cat for different holiday hats!
Watched it last night, tons of great action throughout and the real stunts were amazing. Very loud movie.
Hey Sugarphreak those trucks are awesome. Didn't know that was happening.
New Mad Max is really fricken awesome. All the live action stunts really help bring you into the movie. All the vehicles from the Immortan Joe's Gigahorse to The Gig Rig and amazing. If you like action movies. Go see this.

Magical internet money for everyone!
I watched it on d-box.
Movie was awesome, but I'm surprised that all these psuedo-intellectual movie critic fags gave it a 99% on RottenTomatoes.
They should have called it Mad Max: There and Back Again with Bilbo Baggins.
Exceeded my expectations. 99% however.

Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100
I was a little apprehensive about going to see this (as I was worried that they were just going to basically re-make the original(s)), but it was pretty good.
I will say, though, that this movie is TERRIBLE for needle-phobes like myself. Legitimately almost threw up in a couple of parts (trying not to let out spoilers). Yes, I am a wuss with needles.
The rest of the movie was pretty cool though. The amount of work that went in to the stunts was amazing.
Saw it last night. It was better than I was expecting.
Looking around
Wondering what became
Of what I once knew
Haven't seen this yet.
Is there a reason for the guys flailing about on top of long poles? That was one aspect from the trailers that looked kinda retarded.
IIRC, they're called Pole Cats. Fling yourself in, hit person with a big stick or drop a grenade, fling yourself out againOriginally posted by Inzane

yeah they can swoop in from a distance and grab things, deposit them elsewhere. it was creepy how quiet they were. you gotta see them in the context of the movie, every action scene was fresh and they save those guys till the end
