Can't wait, lost count how many times I have watched Mad Max 2 on blu-ray, Tom Hardy in the lead role is gonna be interesting.

Two men enter, one man leave!
Who run Bartertown?
God Mad Max and the Thunderdome was one of the best movies ever!
If you watch "Road Warrior" you gotta wonder how any Aussie stuntmen ever survived.
funny after all the talk in the 'Robocop' thread about how Hollywood has given up on making anything original.
Robocop was always lame. Mad Max kicks ass.
I still don't believe this movie is real. Its been in the early stages of getting made for like two decades
and Beyond Thunderdome sucked compared to the first two. Mad Max = cars ripping around an apocalyptic wasteland
A buddy of mine is working on the set in Namibia right now doing stunt/weapons consulting (or something like that). Sounds like it'll be badass...
Yupz I have watched this and its too cool I must say. Really its amazing one to utilize your precious time.Originally posted by ianmcc

MY BODY IS READY
And Thunderdome was pretty solid for a third movie.
WHO RUN BARTER TOWN
Ugh.. I heard about this.. Seriously .. Hollywood just sucks.
You don't take a classic movie like this and make a new version of it.. Its like when they did a version of Deathrace 2000 and how bad it was.
I use the nicknames Master, Blaster for a couple of project managers I work with occasionally. If you met them you'd agree the names were perfect. Great movie and I can't wait for the new one.Originally posted by Sentry

It's not a remake, it's a quasi-sequel. Fury Road has been written and in development hell for something like twenty years, they just finally decided to film it.Originally posted by firebane

The Pursuit Special got blown up in #2, I'm not honestly certain why it showed up in the trailer.Originally posted by n1zm0
^So the Falcon gets destroyed right in the beginning? :/ Should be awesome though!
same producer, director & writer as the original movies, guy. this has been his pet project for two decades plus. it is only distributed by Warner Bros. this movie is as anti-Hollywood as it gets.Originally posted by firebane

Yeah from what I understand it's just another story of Max, not a reboot or anything like that
Also I did read they had to change locations for shooting , Charlize Theron was sick / injured for parts, etc so theres been a lot of hurdles for this movie to get made
I'm pumped

while it's not a remake, the trailer makes it look like one. Same costumes and action sequences as Road Warrior. Personally, I would be more interested in a follow up to Thunderdome that explores an aging Max in a post apocalyptic world in search of a more established civilized outpost/oasis etc. Less action, more story etc.
